The CHUB is a great choice to limit recoil and direct muzzle blast away from you while shooting prone. Having tried it on a 30 Sherman Mag shooting a 245 gr Berger EOL I find it on par with the side discharge brake offered by Christensen Arms which I have always considered one of the best.

This little unit is top shelf! Have on a 24" 300 Win Mag. It mitigates recoil extremely well and allows visual target impact with ease. Very happy with it!

1/11/2022 – The other pages say you can make custom sizes. How much to taper the ST lock ring on this to .930 to fit a Proof barrel?

Alternatively, rather than taper what about turning the whole chub down to .930?
